New in 2009, SARACEN is the market-leading conventional variety for 2010 planting, making up some 16% of the National Crop.

SARACEN provides the ideal combination of high yield, high sugar and very low bolting and is suitable for all soil types where Rhizomania is not a problem.

With excellent bolting resistance, SARACEN is highly suitable for early drilling and offers growers maximum flexibility, with the ability to be drilled and harvested at the time that suits them best.

The low-tare root shape reduces dirt and crown tares, while large tops and rapid canopy expansion give early row closure, good ground cover and provides frost protection for late lifted crops.
